The Power of Coconut Oil

It's no secret that Coconut Oil is the new miracle worker in town.  It can be used in hundreds of ways but I'm here to give credit to those pertaining to your beauty regimen.  Believe the hype ladies..this stuff is nothing short of magic.

~Body Moisturizer~
A little goes a long way but this can really change the lives of those effected with severe dry skin. It provides intense moisture that is non greasy.  I like to use it right when I get out of the shower all over my body.  It penetrates deep to help strengthen underlying tissues and help remove excessive dead skin cells on the skin's surface that make you dry and rough according to the Huffington Post.

~Hair Mask~
Keep some in your shower and try it as a hair mask once a week.  The moisturizing effects are unparalleled and it leaves your hair soft and ends smooth.  Lauren Conrad's got a great hair mask recipe HERE on her blog and we all know she has gorgeous hair so I would listen up!

~Makeup Remover~
Hands down the best way to remove makeup, dirt, mascara, you name it!  It's gentle and effective and leaves your face feeling healthy and refreshed.  The Beauty Department's got a great tutorial on how to do it HERE.

~Frizz Fighter~
Take a pea size amount and rub in your palms.  Smooth over the ends of dry hair then take the rest and smooth over the top of the rest of your head.  No more fly aways!

~Fade Skin Spots~
Have dark spots, acne scars or any other discoloration on your skin?  Coconut oil applied daily helps to fade them.

~Eye Cream~
Under eye dark circle and bags be gone with daily use of Coconut oil!

~Lip Balm~
Mix a little bit with Beeswax to make the perfect lip Balm.  Tastes yummy while giving your pout the ultimate hydration.  HERE is a recipe on how to do it.

~Reduce Fine Lines~
There are two main things that keep the skin supple but firm, collagen and elastin. Collagen is what gives skin it’s “firmness” while elastin is what allows it to stretch and then return to its original shape. Collagen production slows as we age, which is part of why wrinkles start to appear, and elastin production is stopped completely-hence your skin no longer snaps back into place if you pinch it. Coconut oil’s biologically active components (such as certain fatty acids) have been shown to increase collagen cross-linking, which is part of why it helps wounds heal faster. This same principle may be why it helps reduce fine lines/wrinkles. Apply twice daily, using as little amount as possible and rubbing in thoroughly, to reduce the appearance of fine lines.

~Grow Lashes~
Apply a small amount to your lashes nightly with a mascara wand.  Longer lashes guaranteed in 8-12 weeks.

~Nail and Cuticle Care~
Perfect conditioning treatment for nails needing strengthening for growth and cuticles needing softening or moisture to soothe ingrown nails.

~Acne Treatment~
Our bodies are rich with bacteria that are naturally present, and necessary, to maintain our health. There are instances though where some people find themselves with a specific strain of bacteria (generally thought to be Propionibacterium acnes) that grows its population past the point of being welcome, as too much of it causes acne. While P. acnes is becoming increasingly resistant to antibiotics, coconut oil is an all-natural way to reduce the overgrowth. Coconut oil is a natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal moisturizing miracle for problem skin.

Coconut Oil is the reason I was instantly sold on the Beautycounter Essentials Collection.  I knew it was an effective makeup remover, an acne treatment, helped with fine lines and wrinkles, worked excellent as an eye cream and lip balm so it only made sense that Coconut Oil was the main ingredient in all of these products.  After using these products for 4 weeks, I am hooked!  My skin has never felt better.  I'm giving all the credit to Coconut Oil, the miracle worker.

Beaucoup D'Amour,
