Monday Must Have~Bandeau Bikini

Okay Ladies, Bikini season is right around the corner and I practically live in a swimsuit and cover up during the Summer so I'm always on the hunt for that perfect suit.  I prefer a strapless top or bandeau so I don't have any tan lines but I always struggle finding one that stays put while giving you some lift so it still looks as flattering as a halter top.  I always love the Victoria's Secret catalog suits but never order any with the fear of them not fitting and needing different sizes and having to send them back, etc, etc..I hate that!  So…Lucky for us, Victoria's Secret now carries a small selection of swimwear in the store! I went and tried on several of the different Bandeau tops and wanted to give you my review on each before you order (I would suggest ordering because the colors and sizes really are so limited in the store):

The Madi

The Madi Push-Up Bandeau Top was by far my favorite!  It runs true to bra size and is so comfortable and has some serious stay put power!  It comes in a huge selection of colors ( I ordered got a mint:) and is reasonably priced at $30 and under.

The Rio

The Rio Push-Up Twist Bandeau was a great fit but a little more expensive and fancy for the beach.  I am really hard on my swimsuits between sunscreen and saltwater so they don't last long!  But, if you are going on a vacation and will be laying by the pool or will be mostly on a boat, this would be a great suit for you.  The top has some great push up and the bottoms are really adorable with the gold rings.  I love it in the Shimmer Banana and White colors.

The Belle

The Belle Bandeau Top was adorable and is your most reasonably priced option at $26 and under.  However, it has no push up!  This one is best for you smaller chested gals that don't desire some lift like myself.  It's still a great fit but is lightly padded just fyi.

I am!

  1. Hi Megan :) I love your blog! I'm from Europe and i am tempted to order a biquini from victoria's secret.. unfortunatly the shipping taxes are not very cheap..
Can you please tell me if the pushup from the madi model is as good as the onde from the Rio colection? And then there is also the push up bandeau from forever sexy that looks very similar from the one from Rio but it's cheaper.. Can you help me chose from one of these? ;) For the record, i'm small chested :P
It's a shame we don't have VS stores here in Europe..
    You look great! :)

    2. Hi Megan! Thank you for the reply! :)
I can tell you that I almost don't believe it either, everybody knows VS and we all love it but no one orders anything because of the shipping taxes and also because USA sizes usually run bigger than ours so we can't be very sure.. But your post made me think very seriously about ordering the Madi! I'll try 34A and hope it fits (my size here is 34B)! :)
I'm sorry if my English is not so good but it's not my native language, I'm from Portugal ;)
I'll let you know what I think about it when I get my first VS biquini! :)
Kiss all the way from Portugal*

  2. Hey I was wondering what the shimmer banana looked like in person. Is it a true sunny yellow or more golden?

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Cleo! The Shimmer Banana in person looked more like a golden peach color to me. They also had in the store a white one with gold polka dots that was adorable. Good luck! I hope you find the perfect suit for you:)

  4. Hello Candice,

Thanks for your question. I'm not sure about the sizing as I am not familiar with the European sizing but I will say I was true to size as far as US standards go so whatever you normally order in US sizes should fit.

    Thanks for visiting Beau Vie!

  5. Hi Megan!

Thanks for this page super helpful about shopping for bikini tops with VS, I'm tempted to order a madi bandeau top but I'm concerned that the cup won't fit smooth. In the past I've tried on bandeau push ups and the don't sit even on the skin at the top of the cup line making for an awkward top view if you know what i mean :p I'm small chested (34A) do you think that will be an issue with this top? Thanks so much for your answer!!

    1. Shouldn't be a problem with this top. It fits so well! I'm small chested too so I know what you mean! The bandeau that ties in the front would be great for you too:)

  6. Hey megan!

I wanted to order the Got a Mint color from the website, but wasn't sure how the color looked in person because it looks softer in the belle picture and in the madi push-up it looked like neon green. how did it come out in person?
    great blog btw!

  7. If I'm at 32b, should I get that size in the madi? Or a 32a? Not sure which would fit better and they didn't have either size in store...

  8. Hi I was debating on either getting the Very sexy rio or the forever sexy push up bandeau. I wanted to know which one provided extra lift?

  10. Hey! Love the reviews, I think I'll buy the Madi Push Up Bandeau Top, but I was wondering just how much push up padding is in the top? Like a little/medium/a lot in comparison to the other bikinis? I am a 32 A and I need a bit of push up haha, but it's such a nice style! please reply ASAP!

    1. Just a little padding in the madi top, not as much as the other push up tops. It fits great though!

  11. Hello!

I want to order another bikini in the got a mint colour and I was just wondering what sort of green it was? Was it more like the colour in the photos (because from previous experience the photos are not very accurate!) or more like the colour in the swatch?

    Thankyou!

  12. Hello! I was wondering if the Rio Push Up Bandeau was true to bra size? im a 32b but I was wondering if i should order 32A instead so the fit is more snug. Or is it very true to bra size??

  14. Hi Megan
I am a very small chested women and need some help finding a bikini that will help lift me up to have a little more umph. I guess I just want to know which bikini will help lift me up and give me some "push up" while still looking natural. We do not have a store anywhere close to us here and have not tried any victoria secret products on before.

  15. I'm a 36 D.. I need the push up considering the bandeau doesn't have straps to sort of lift them up. Would you recommend the madi push up for big chests? Or we're better off with bikini tops with straps?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yes, I'm a 34 DD and I really want to buy the madi. Do you think by adding the removable straps there will be enough support? I do not want to look like a saggy old woman. Ps love your blog.

  17. I am a 34C, but my chest isnt very "perky". I havent bought a bandeau top for fear of not having any support, and in some cases, too much support that pushes me over the top. I would like to know if the Madi would do that, and also if it would stay up in the water (i like to get out in the ocean)?

    1. I bought the madi in a 32c , being a 34c I wanted to ensure it would stay up since its a hook back not tie. Barely covered half my chest !! Nip slip waiting to happen. Got a 32d, barely made a difference. Sent them both back and got medium halter. It was nice and tight and has minimal padding to give you a bit of lift, just don't recommend it for people over a b.

  18. I meant the madi was nice and tight and shouldn't fall off * just super low cups .
